Hatfield, PA - May 2004 - For the fifth straight year, K'NEX Industries, one of the world's leading construction toy manufacturers, will search from coast to coast for the top ten K'NEX builders to serve as the 2005 K'NEXpert Panel.
K'NEXperts are creative, innovative thinkers with brilliant imaginations. Every year the competition grows more intense making it even harder to select the elite ten. With the world as their canvas and K'NEX pieces as their paint brush, K'NEXperts have come to 'WOW!' the entire K'NEX Industries staff with their incredible creations.
The K'NEXpert Panel Search kicks off the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, May 28th, 2004, and all entries must be received by the Friday of Labor Day Weekend, September 3rd, 2004. Aspiring builders, ages 6 to 16 years, will build a unique construction model made entirely from K'NEX pieces, and satisfies one of the six K'NEX-chosen categories. Kids can enter as many times, in as many different categories, as they want.
The categories are:
- Famous Landmarks and Buildings
- Out of this World
- Extreme Fun
- Animal Kingdom
- Wings and Wheels
- Musical Masterpieces
After creating their masterpieces, kids take pictures of their models and mail them in with a completed entry form found at www.knex.com. The ten grand prize winners will be chosen from among hundreds of entries for their innovation, imagination, and creativity. These ten K'NEXperts will comprise the 2005 K'NEXpert Panel.
The ten winners will be rewarded throughout the year with various perks, including his or her own personal web page at www.knex.com, free K'NEX gear, products, and parts. The 2005 K'NEXpert Panel will also serve as an Advisory Board, testing and giving their thoughts and feedback on existing and new K'NEX products. Each new panel member will also receive an open invitation to tour the K'NEX headquarters in Hatfield, PA, and to attend all local K'NEX sponsored activities throughout the year.
