Muppets Series 8 Now Shipping

muppets action figures

Elkridge, MD (July 1, 2004) - Jim Henson's Muppets™ Series 8 is on the way from Palisades Toys! Featuring the signature-version of Sam the Eagle™, Scooter™ in his usher uniform from "The Muppets Take Manhattan," Dr. Phil Van Neuter™ the crazed veterinarian from "Muppets Tonight," and fan-favorite Marvin Suggs™, and his Muppephones™, Series 8 is sure to sure to please hardcore fans and casual collectors alike!

But fans had better move quickly, because Palisades has already sold out of their stock on this most recent Muppets Series. Says Palisades President & CEO, Michael Horn, "The response to Series 8 actually caught us off guard In a positive way. There seems to be a major resurgence in collectors' interest in the line."

Sam The Eagle - The self appointed guardian of culture and good taste on "The Muppet Show." Sam's plans to bring refinement to the Muppets were always foiled one way or another. Sam comes with a lectern, a magnetic "American Eagle" seal, a copy of the US Constitution, and a book entitled "Standards and Practices."

Usher Scooter - In "The Muppets Take Manhattan," when the Muppets' Broadway show falls apart due to funding, they are forced to find other means of paying the bills... And in one of the movie's most memorable scenes, the irrepressible Scooter ends up ushering at a 3-D movie house. Scooter comes complete with a full sized Popcorn cart with clear windows and working wheels!

Dr. Phil Van Neuter - One of the newer additions to the Muppet family, Dr. Van Neuter first appeared in a sketch called Tales From the Vet on "Muppets Tonight." Phil Van Neuter comes with an equipment stand, lab bottles, an eggnog carton - from the memorable skit in which an office Christmas party goes horribly wrong - a clock, and a working file cabinet.

Marvin Suggs - Despite numerous appearances on "The Muppet Show" in various roles, Marvin Suggs will best be remembered for the pain that he inflicted on the Muppephones for the sake of his "art." The poor little Muppephones - round pink and orange creatures with eyes and a mouth - were lined up on a table, and whacked with mallets by Suggs, each uttering their cries in a different tone to create a song. And now you can create his hilarious, memorable scene at home, as Suggs comes complete with 6 Muppephones, a musical "Muppephone table," and 2 Mallets.

Each case includes 12 figures with special "chase" variants randomly inserted. All characters and accessories are subject to change. SRP is $9.99.
