August 20, 2004 - MORRIS, IL - Comic industry trade organization, The International Comic Arts Association (ICAA), has announced a raffle to benefit the organization which will appeal to "Spidey" fans young and old. Named the "Amazing and Spectacular Spider-Man Prize Raffle" the drawing will reward one randomly selected winner with "Spider-Man" prizes valued at over $300.00 - thanks to contest sponsor Amazing Fantasy Books and Comics - a four store chain of comic book stores located in Illinois - who provided the majority of the prizes.
Tickets for the raffle are being sold for $1.00 each or 6 chances for $5.00 with all proceeds going to help to support the non-profit organization and its goals. Tickets for the raffle will be issued in the order received and sent to each entrant by mail. People may enter the drawing as many times as they like to increase their chances of winning. All existing "FAN" Members of the ICAA have been automatically entered in the contest and issued one ticket in the drawing sent to them by mail. ICAA Fan Members can, of course, purchase additional chances as well. The organization offered tickets at last weekend's Wizard World: Chicago show and plans to sell tickets to the raffle at upcoming live events as well.
