September 2004 - Tempe, Ariz. - McFarlane Toys announces the action figure box set release of the wildest rock band of the 1980s, Mötley Crüe. Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars are featured in the set based off of their Shout at the Devil album.

Under a license from Signatures Network, the set will retail for around $50-$60 and will be available at mass retailers in November. The set comes complete with Lee's elaborate drum set, Neil's microphone and stand, Sixx's bass and Mars' guitar.

Mötley Crüe was formed in Los Angeles in 1981 when bassist Sixx met up with drummer Lee. Soon they recruited guitarist Mars and vocalist Neil to form what would become the greatest rock band over the course of the next two decades.

In 2003 they licensed their catalogue to Universal Music and saw re-issues of all their albums as well as the first installment in their box set, Music to Crash Your Car To-Volume 1, a 4-CD set that is the first of three volumes chronicling the bands storied career. Volume 2 was just released and Volume 3 is set for release later this year. On the horizon for Motley Crue is a film version of the New York Times bestselling book The Dirt: Confessions of the Worlds Most Notorious Rock Band. Paramount Films' The Dirt is set for release in 2005.
