Sideshow's 1:6 Eddie Rickenbacher

November 2004 - Sideshow Collectibles is pleased to announce that it will be releasing WWI American Flying Ace - Lieutenant Eddie Rickenbacher. The 1/6th scale version of America's Top Ace is the latest edition to Sideshow's Bayonets and Barbwire series.
Eddie Rickenbacher was assigned to the US 94th Aero Pursuit Squadron in March of 1918, and although he was a good deal older than most pilots of the day, he proved himself in battle, achieving enough aerial victories to qualify as "Ace" by May of the same year. Late in 1918, Rickenbacher earned the rank of Captain. He is considered the Top American Flying Ace of WWI with 26 aerial victories, and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Throughout his service in war, Rickenbacker continued to demonstrate his tenacity and determination by flying 300 hours of combat missions, more than any other U.S. fighter pilot in WWI.
Historians and collectors will want to have this historically accurate figure for their collections. This figure will retail for $45, and is scheduled for release 2nd Qtr 2005.
