The board game is planned to be a major release - in 2005 and will be designed to appeal to the huge base of Marvel fans worldwide, providing an accurate depiction of the Super Heroes and Super Villains who populate the Marvel universe, and their special powers and abilities."

The game will include a number of variants for 2 to 6 players, with plenty of opportunities for cooperation and competition between the Super Heroes controlled by the players. Players will take control of an individual character renowned as the leader of a Super Hero team, like Captain America or Mr. Fantastic, or of a loner like Spider-Man or Daredevil. Each choice will provide distinct advantages and disadvantages. During the game, each hero will find allies, enemies and power-ups, and will have to face the menace of the Super Villans controlled by the other players.

High-quality plastic figures of many of the major Marvel Super Heroes, including Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four and The X-Men, as well as an array of Super Villains, will be included in the game. Each character featured in the game will be represented by a detailed 35 mm plastic figure and an accompanying character card describing the character's special abilities. Power-ups can be added with special effects, which are different depending on who is acquiring these bonus items, so that all the different incarnations of the character can be played.
