The Toy Pirate Sets Sail

February 15, 2005 -- Arrr! Say aye to the Toy Pirate (www.thetoypirate.com), a new toy-oriented website featuring reviews, news, plundering, and sundry activities.

What sets the Toy Pirate apart from similar sites? Its pirate theme! We think we have a monopoly on that. Arr!!

We also feature one of the first industry-specific, regularly-updated blogs on the 'Net. In addition, the Toy Pirate is run on the Movabletype software, so each review is categorized by line and manufacturer as well as genre.

The Toy Pirate is the brainchild of the mysterious Captain Balljoint (the Toy Pirate himself) and his first mate, Poe Ghostal (formerly of Oafe.net). With their third-in-command, the Bob-Fish, these lusty seadogs will be shaving their bellies with a rusty razor er-lie in the marnin'! Oh, and writing a lot about toys, too.

So wrap a bandana around your head, stick a cutlass between your teeth, and set your browser's sails to The Toy Pirate at www.thetoypirate.com, where you'll find an interview introducing the pirates!

(P.S. We swear to keep the pirate-slang to a minimum after this. Arrr!)
