eBay Community To Converge in San Jose for eBay Live! Conference and 10th Anniversary Celebration
Registration Opens for Three-Day Event
San Jose, Calif., March 8, 2005 - Attendee registration begins today for eBay's fourth annual community conference, eBay Live! In celebration of eBay's 10th anniversary, this year's event takes place in eBay's hometown, San Jose, Calif., from June 23-25. The three-day event is expected to bring together more than 10,000 members of the eBay community from around the world. The theme of eBay Live!, The Power of All of Us, is a tribute to the community that has fueled eBay's growth for the past 10 years.
"eBay Live! is a time to celebrate the personal connections and limitless opportunities that are discovered everyday on eBay," said Bill Cobb, President, eBay North America. "eBay Live! creates a common ground for buyers and sellers from diverse backgrounds all over the world to meet one another, share their stories, learn new buying and selling skills, and have fun."
eBay Live! 2005 will offer more than 160 eBay University classes, specifically tailored to meet the needs of beginning, intermediate and advanced eBay users. This year's event also offers a host of new activities including: - eBay headquarters campus tours
- Extended schedule of advanced classes
- Expanded roster of networking sessions
- Special 10th anniversary gala
The event will kick off on Thursday, June 23. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to presentations from special guest speakers and attend fun and educational seminars, such as "10 Years of eBay" and "Sales Management for Medium to High Volume Sellers." Additionally, there will be community awards, a solutions center tradeshow floor, and roundtable discussions on such topics as eBay Stores and Trust and Safety.
eBay Live! will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The conference is open to everyone 18 and over. The cost to attend is $50, which includes classes, parties and keynote speeches throughout the three day event. Starting April 18, registration will cost $60; from June 1, registration will be $70. As part of eBay's 10th Anniversary celebration, all registrants who register by March 14 will receive a $10 discount on the ticket price.
