Wal-Mart Exclusive Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Set

March 21, 2004 - The latest addition to the Marvel Legends line from Toy Biz is a re-release of sorts for the prior Fantastic Four set. This set is exclusive to Wal-Mart and retails for $19.96 and comes with 4 figures: Human Torch, Thing, Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

There is only one version of this set and there is no variant set. There is no variant set.

Reed and Sue are painted in outfits that look like the Heroes Reborn costumes designed by Jim Lee, and they are dark blue and light blue with stylized fours on the left breast. The figures are the same as the figs released in the larger FF set with Doom, Herbie and Franklin. These are not movie uniforms.

Reed comes with the stretchy hand and the hammer hand accessories that were in the single carded release.

The Torch is the translucent Torch from the chase FF set. It is identical to that in paint and construction, so if you only wanted this variant this is a great way to get it.

The Thing is the Trenchcoat Thing with some slight modifications. The paint and plastic is darker than the single carded trench Thing but the same as the previous FF boxed set. The hands are the same as the prior boxed set FF figs but the head is the original head used on the single carded Thing (and trench Thing), probably to make sure the hat fits (included with the glasses too). He has dark blue trunks with a white waistband.

It comes with a poster book, the same one included with the previous FF boxed set.
