April 5, 2005 (SEATTLE) - WizKids Inc., makers of the popular Mage Knight® and HeroClix® collectable miniatures games (CMGs), is proud to announce the first MechWarrior®: Age of Destruction Unrestricted World Championship.

"This open event will be a fun way for MechWarrior players to find out who's the best," said Mike Samora, WizKids® vice president of Sales and Marketing. The event, which will take place in September 2005 at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Ga., is open to any MechWarrior player who wishes to compete.

In Unrestricted events, players may use any MechWarrior game piece. The winner of the event will be crowned the first-ever MechWarrior Unrestricted world champion.
