|
May 2005 - eBay has issued the following fact sheet to aid new users:
Want to discover even more items from your favorite eBay Collectible sellers? Check out eBay Stores!
With more than 2.5 million collectible items available every day across nearly 4,000 categories, eBay Collectibles provides new and longtime collectors with unmatched selection. But buyers may not know that many of their favorite collectibles may not normally appear in regular search results on eBay. That's because they are available only at eBay Stores!
eBay Stores: A special part of eBay - Enjoy a unique shopping experience. While part of the eBay network, each eBay Store has its own personality, with customized displays and content.
- View all of the inventory a seller has in stock. At eBay Stores, many of a buyer's favorite sellers (including big-name retailers) have eBay Stores, making it easy to see all the items they sell.
- Get to know sellers better. Learn more about the seller, their policies, and the items they sell - this helps to find great deals and hard-to-find collectible items and make informed purchases.
- Search for "hidden" treasures. Most eBay Stores include store inventory items, or additional fixed price (Buy It Now) items not available in regular search results and categories on eBay. This provides access to millions of additional collectible items, like poker chips or Star Wars light sabers, when searching or browsing in eBay Stores.
Tips for shopping eBay Stores:- A red "stores" tag next to a seller's User ID indicates that the seller has an eBay Store. Click on the tag to go directly to that Store and access all of the seller's items.
- Look up the name of an eBay Store in the eBay Store Directory. Also, the Store's name will automatically appear in every Category Directory where the Store has items listed.
- An eBay Store can also be accessed through the eBay Store's own Web address (URL).
- From within an eBay Store, do keyword searches to locate specific collectible items.
- When viewing one item in an eBay Store, buyers have the opportunity to see and bid on other items.
- Buyers can receive marketing emails about their hard-to-find collectibles from their favorite eBay Stores and subscribe to sellers' mailing lists via the "Add to Favorite Sellers and Stores" process.
