MirrorMask: A Really Useful Book

a really useful book

July 2005 - Dark Horse has released a "blank" journal with a MirrorMask theme. This "Really Useful Book" has 130 pages and is 6 inches by 8 inches.

The journal includes a pen with invisible ink so that all of your journal entries can remain secret. To look back on your work, though, the pen also has a black light. (Yes, for you CSI fans, you can also use the black light on other things...) Dark Horse has rather handily also included four extra batteries for the pen so that you need not worry about overusing the black light.

If you are shy about using up the invisible ink, but still are curious about secret messages, Neil Gaiman has included "magical sayings" in the journal (one saying every two pages) for you to investigate with the black light.

The journal has a suggested retail price of $19.99. The ISBN number (helpful when inquiring at your local book store) is 1-59617-043-3.

MirrorMask debuted in January 2005 at the Sundance Film Festival, and will open in the US on September 30, 2005.

Other MirrorMask items from Dark Horse include a mini-bust of the Dark Queen and three box sets of PVC figures. The three sets are (1) Helena, Sphinx Cat, and the Black Queen's Spider, (2) Valentine, Small Hairy Guy, and The Librarian, and (3) Dark Queen, the Music Box People, and Gryphon.
