eHobbies.com Helps The Hobbyless

ehobbies_logo.jpg - 5074 ByteseHobbies.com, the premier online destination for hobbyists, today announced the launch of its Hobby Aptitude Test in the Find a Hobby section of the site. The interactive quiz gives hobbyists-to-be the opportunity to find the right hobby for them by going through a series of questions that will pinpoint their interests and skill level.

A recent study showed a definite resurgence into the world of hobbies. More than 85 percent of men polled said they wanted to return to a hobby as an adult for better mental health and life balance. eHobbies' Hobby Aptitude Test comes on the heels of this return to the hobby tradition and has been created for the novice who's looking to get started as well as anyone looking to try something new.

The Hobby Aptitude Test takes visitors on a search for finding a hobby through a series of six questions to assess interests and skill levels. Once answered, eHobbies will begin to give suggestions on those hobbies that pertain to that given answer. As the visitor goes through more questions, each one will give a more detailed response than the last, which will then, further narrow in on a hobby especially for them.

In a matter of minutes, beginning hobbyists can find out if they're better suited for astronomy, model railroading or one of the eight hobbies eHobbies.com offers. For example, a dot-com executive putting in 80-plus hours a week at the office, may be more suited for collecting classic diecast cars or comic books and action figures. Launching ready-to-fly rockets and driving ready-to-run radio control cars are good ways to escape the monotony of the cube for a few hours. Bird watching in the neighborhood or discovering the wonders of astronomy are rewarding and relaxing hobbies and can be enjoyed by even the busiest of people.

``Our Hobby Aptitude Test is specifically tailored to be easy, fun and informative,'' said Brad Sobel, CEO/co-founder, eHobbies.com. ``eHobbies' goal is to make getting started in a hobby simple even if you're not sure which fits your lifestyle. Our quick test will assess that for you.''

eHobbies currently features nine key categories: astronomy, birding, comics & action figures, diecast, models, radio control, rocketry, trains and tools and supplies and will be expanding into new hobbies throughout the year.
