Even More ReBoot Merchandise On The Way

ReBoot, the popular computer generated animated television series airing on the Cartoon Network, will have a new line of children's accessories based on the series' characters, it was announced today by Joy Tashjian, President & CEO of American Champion Marketing Group (ACMG), a subsidiary of American Champion Entertainment. ACMG handles the licensing, and merchandising for Mainframe Entertainment, producers on the series.American Champion has concluded an agreement with Romar Accessories who will roll out backpacks, fashion bags, plush backpacks, roll bags, messenger bags, totes, wallets, and cold weather apparel such as; hats, headbands, mittens and scarves, among other items. Based on the ReBoot characters of Enzo, Dot and Bob and their nemesis Megabyte and Hexadecimal, the merchandise will debut in stores in fall 2001 during the "Back to School" season. Marketing support will include retail presentations to all tiers and media ads from Irwin Toy Ltd who holds the master toy agreement for ReBoot.
In making the announcement, Tashjian stated: "We are building a comprehensive licensing campaign ReBoot and these deals are a critical component in extending the property. With our master toy license in place with Irwin Toy Ltd., we will continue to look to build upon this momentum." A privately held company since 1971, Romar Accessories is one of the leading accessory manufacturers, having the largest market share in the retail industry and one of the largest advertising budgets in the accessories industry. Its product line is sold in every chain store, most major department stores, boutiques and specialty stores, with its largest distribution in mass market retailers such as Wal*Mart, Target, Payless Shoe Source and K-Mart. ReBoot has been broadcast since 1994 and airs weekdays in Cartoon Network's prestigious Toonami block. It is the first half-hour television series produced entirely using computer-generated imagery, and airs in some 70 countries around the world. Like the highly successful film, "The Matrix," ReBoot takes place inside a computer and features an eclectic array of heroes and villains.
