Medicom Toy To Produce Akira-Based Action Figure

med_akira_kaneda_full.jpg - 9065 BytesAkira fans have an awesome fully-poseable action figure of Shotaro Kaneda to look forward to, thanks to Medicom Toy of Japan...if they can get their hands on one, that is. This 12", super-detailed, super-poseable figure is part of Medicom's New Real Action Heroes line.

Kaneda comes complete with an authentic costume, right out of the classic manga and anime, and accessories such as goggles and gun.

[Updated Info:] RTM has learned that this figure will be available for one day only (due to licensing restrictions) at the Wonderfest toy show in Tokyo on August 20. Only 300 of the figure have been made, and people will have to draw lots for the opportunity to purchase the figure.

Given the immense fan base that Akira this is bound to be an extremely popular, and hard to come by, figure.
