Mattel Releases New Buzz Lightyear Toy Line

ts2_warpdarkmatter_carded.jpg - 17784 BytesBuzz Lightyear of Star Command, a new animated movie featuring one of the stars of Toy Story, will be available on video and DVD tommorrow as a lead-in to this falls new Buzz Lightyear animated series. Both the movie and new series feature traditional animation, rather than the CGI featured in both Toy Story films.

Tim Allen reprises his role as the voice of Buzz Lightyear for the movie, and Patrick Warburton will take over the voice duties for the series this Fall.

Mattel has released an action figure assortment based on the movie featuring the new animated version of Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger, as well as new Space Rangers Booster and XR and villains Warp Darkmatter and Emperor Zurg. There is also a Space Cycle vehicle available.
