Hasbro President Resigns

hasbro_logo_lg.jpg - 6753 BytesHasbro, Inc. Chairman and CEO Alan G. Hassenfeld announced today the resignation of Herb Baum, its President and COO since January 1999, effective immediately. Mr. Baum leaves to take the position of Chairman and CEO of The Dial Corporation where he currently serves as an outside director.

``We want to wish him luck in his new position,'' said Mr. Hassenfeld. ``I will be picking up Herb's responsibilities near term together with members of our talented and experienced senior management team. We are a family entertainment powerhouse with great brands and we remain confident in our ability to grow profitably into the future.''
