February 24, 2006 - The results are in for the 4th round of voting at FANtastic Exclusive 2006 and it was no easy task compiling the results!
During the 4th round of voting, action figure fans got to choose various points and types of articulation for the Four Horsemen's exclusive 7th Kingdom: Minotaur figure.
Well, because of the complexity of the voting system for that round, the Four Horsemen thought that they'd almost bitten off more than they could chew! But they got out their trusty calculators, hired a team of accountants and went through 17 cases of Mountain Dew: Pitch Black and the results are now in!
After taking in the complex results of the articulation vote and applying those results to the design of the figure, the Four Horsemen were able to come up with an articulation system that will definitely make this figure a toy as much as it will be a collectable. Also, because of an e-mail they received from a fan, they were even able to add in an extra articulation point that wasn't listed in the original vote - the tail!
Listed below are the types of articulation, and the location on the figure for that particular articulation point.
- Neck: ball & socket ball-joint - Shoulders: disc & socket ball-joints - Upper Arms: swivels - Elbows: singles - Wrists: disc & socket ball-joints - Torso: hinge (ab crunch) - Waist: swivel - Hips: disc & socket ball-joints - Upper Thighs: swivels - Knees: doubles - Ankles: disc & socket ball-joints - Tail: swivel So there you have it! Altogether that's 22 points of articulation (unless of course you count ball joints as 2 points - we don't). Not too shabby.
The Four Horsemen are planning to finish up Round 5 voting (Secondary Weapons) by the end of next Friday, so if you haven't placed your votes yet, get your unarticulated tail over to FANtasticExclusive.com right now and place your vote!
