eBay Community To Gather in Las Vegas for 5th Annual eBay Live! Conference Registration Opens for Three-Day Event
SAN JOSE, Calif., February 27, 2006 -- Attendee registration begins today for eBay's fifth annual community conference, eBay Live!, which will take place in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center from June 13-15. The three-day event is expected to bring together more than 10,000 eBay buyers and sellers from around the world.
"This year's eBay Live! marks the fifth year of our annual community celebration," said Bill Cobb, president, eBay North America. "We will honor the entrepreneurial spirit of small businesses and the extraordinary individuals that are a part of eBay's community."
eBay Live! will offer more than 170 educational classes tailored to improve the buying and selling skills of beginning, intermediate and advanced eBay users. Attendees will also have the opportunity to: - Participate in roundtables and panels with eBay executives
- Listen to special guest speakers such as Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Jeff and Rich Sloan of StartupNation, and Selling the Dream author Guy Kawasaki
- Receive a copy of eBay's first-ever Community Cookbook
- Enjoy a community gala event, featuring a live performance by Huey Lewis & the News
eBay Live! will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The conference is open to everyone 18 and over. The cost to attend is $50, which includes classes, parties and Keynote speeches throughout the three day event. Starting April 16, registration will cost $60; from May 16, registration will be $70. Childcare and Teen Camp will be available, each day, to attendees under 18 years old.
