June 2006 - Mezco Toyz is trying something new for their 2006 summer convention exclusive action figures: making them widely available to collectors who are not attending the summer conventions.
Mezco's 2006 exclusives will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con International convention and the Wizard World Chicago convention. No pre-order is necessary (or available, for that matter) for the conventions, so just head over to the Mezco booth to purchase the exclusives if you are attending either show.
Starting June 9th, Mezco is taking pre-orders for the exclusives on their Mezco Direct web site. If you order through Mezco Direct, the items will be shipped to you, so you will have to pay shipping costs and you will not be able to pick up order at the conventions. The orders made through Mezco Direct will ship in late July/August.
Most of the exclusives are also available to order through the ClubMez web site. If you are a ClubMez member, try ordering there first because there are no shipping charges. Also, while supplies last, each exclusive ordered through ClubMez comes with a free toy.
Mezco's 2006 summer exclusives are:
- LDD Presents: Jason Voorhees - Jason as a 10-inch Living Dead Doll
- Edward Scissorhands: Vincent Price - a 9-inch rotocast action figure
- Family Guy: Herbert - Herbert comes with a dog, a walker, and a popsicle
- Hellboy: Comic Hellboy with Japanese Heads - Hellboy has a new head sculpt and a cloth trench coat. The six ghost heads each come with a display stand (the heights vary) so that you can display them "floating" around Hellboy.
- Family Guy: 12-inch Evil Monkey - not available through ClubMez
- South Park: 12-inch Cartman - not available through ClubMez
