San Diego, CA (July 19-23) - Booth 1929 at the 2006 Comic-Con International will feature lots of familiar faces; a large and rotating retinue of professionally costumed re-enactors reflecting the great classics of the horror, science fiction, and fantasy film genres. Sideshow Collectibles, the world's premier manufacturer of movie licensed and proprietary figure collectibles and prop replicas, will host an ongoing costume party for the benefit of patrons and press.

"Familiar faces" populating Sideshow's booth will include Wolverine, Cyclops, and Jean Grey from Marvel's epic X-Men series, plus Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and the 501st Regiment of Stormtroopers (and possibly more) from Star Wars; Orcs (and others) from Lord of the Rings; a team of Space Marines from Aliens; The Mask of the Red Death (from Universal Studios Classic Monsters series), plus others yet to be announced.

Shutterbug show patrons can also get their pictures taken with life-sized design replicas of C3PO and R2D2, at Sideshow's complimentary photo alcove.

"We always get a tremendous amount of foot traffic at our Comic-Con booth," says Sideshow Artistic Director Tom Gilliland. "But this year, several of the visitors will be living, breathing icons from another world."
