University Games Joins Forces With LEGO GroupLeading Global Construction Toy Brand Grants License for Games and Colorforms®
SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2006 -- University Games, an international toy and game company announces an alliance with the LEGO Group to create LEGO® branded games and Colorforms® products.
LEGO BIONICLE®: The Quest Game, available now, includes six exclusive Toa Inika game piece figures and a Protodermis ball launcher that players use to take on the evil Piraka. Each player strives to find the Mask of Life and save the BIONICLE universe.
The BIONICLE product line is supported through a series of comic books as well as an online forum (www.bionicle.com) where fans can play games and read the latest in the BIONICLE story.
Also available now are LEGO games appropriate for younger children through adults. In LEGO® Dominos, players match and stack their dominos by matching the color of the LEGO bricks -- the first to build across his/her Finish Line wins. In LEGO® DUPLO® Checkers, players add easy stacking action to the traditional game play.
University Games looks forward to developing more LEGO games and extending the LEGO brand to its Colorforms division. Colorforms are creative and imaginative activity sets for young children. This alliance allows LEGO to offer LEGO play values in game and activity set formats. It represents a strong teaming of the popular construction and game categories.
