Toy Biz' Legend of Zelda Action Figures Unveiled At Last!
|
Every since the mysterious Legend of Zelda sign was spotted in Toy Biz' showroom at Toy Fair speculation has been running rampant as to what the toymaker would be doing with the popular Nintendo property. While all lips were sealed at Toy Fair, RTM checked in with Toy Biz shortly after the event was over and found out that the Zelda line would consist of a series of figure/vehicle sets marketed similar to their popular Mario Kart line. While the thought of Link and Zelda motoring about the land of Hyrule in go-karts struck fear into many a Legend of Zelda fan, it was soon learned that the those fears were misplaced and those "vehicles" were, in fact, horses. Toy Biz recently provided RTM with images of the upcoming line. The assortment, due around the beginning of 2001, features Link and his trusty steed, Epona, Gannon and his warhorse, and Zelda, her bodyguard Impa and her horse. While the figures already are looking terrific, these are prototypes and are still undergoing some changes before the link hits stores sometime this winter. It looks like Zelda fans have a great new toyline to look forward to! [Posted 9/12/2000]
