Wal-Mart's MONOPOLY Tournament

Do Not Pass Go, Collect Big at Wal-Mart's MONOPOLY Tournament

Nation's Largest Retailer Challenges Customers to Bring Their Best Game Against World MONOPOLY Champions

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Nov. 14, 2006 -- Wal-Mart declares "Game On" with a multi-city MONOPOLY®: Here & Now™ Edition tournament. Beginning Nov. 14, Wal-Mart will kick-off an eight-city MONOPOLY extravaganza in select stores nationwide. Customers are invited to bring their best game forward to challenge MONOPOLY World and National Champions, perfect their game and win prizes valued up to $10,000.

In each city, the winner who accumulates the most assets, including MONOPOLY money, properties and services, at the end of the tournament will receive a $1,000 cash prize. Everyone selected to play in the tournament will receive a $5 Wal-Mart gift card. Wal-Mart brings the MONOPOLY®: Here & Now™ Edition to life by offering one grand-prize winner from the tournament a trip to either New York, N.Y., or Orlando, Fla., which are both featured on the new MONOPOLY®: Here & Now™ Edition game board. See Official Rules at http://www.wal-mart.com for details.

"Wal-Mart invites our customers to join us in playing America's favorite game," said Scott McCall, Wal-Mart vice president and divisional merchandise manager of toys. "Our MONOPOLY®: Here & Now™ Edition tournament is yet another way to help make the holiday gift-giving season more enjoyable for everyone."

Wal-Mart has searched the world to locate current and previous MONOPOLY Tournament Champions, including Ken Koury from Woodland Hills, Calif., and Lee Bayrd from Los Angeles, Calif. Games with these champions will help customers brush up on their game just in time for the holidays at home with family and friends. Win or lose, MONOPOLY Champions will share their tips and techniques with Wal-Mart shoppers, including which properties to buy and when, how to manage money, and more. Champions will also autograph MONOPOLY®: Here & Now™ Edition board games, which make great gifts for all MONOPOLY enthusiasts.

Rollbacks on Games and Toys

Holiday shoppers will discover great values on more than 100 games and toys, including classic board games Operation, Sorry!, Clue, The Game of Life, Battleship and MONOPOLY Classic (were $13.26-$14.84/now $8) and top-of-the- wish-list toys, such as the Hot Wheels® Radar Gun from Mattel (was $29.74/now $20.00), Amazing Allyson and Amazing Amanda dolls (were $99.00/now $69.00), Barbie Ride On (was $228.88/ now $199), Dora the Explorer Talking Kitchen (was $89.84/now $65) and the Cadillac Escalade Ride on (was $279.37/now $249).
