Mid-Ohio-Con Presents "Superhero Trivia Challenge"
November 2006 - Columbus, Ohio - Mid-Ohio-Con, Ohio's largest and longest-running comic book and pop culture collectors show, is slated for this weekend, November 25 & 26 in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to over 145 celebrity guests and a show floor filled with tons of comic books, toys and other great pop culture collectibles, Mid-Ohio-Con also offers fans a diverse line up of special entertainment. This year will see the premiere of the "Superhero Trivia Challenge," Mid-Ohio-Con's newest game show event, as six contestants call upon the power of the superhero that dwells within each of them to battle on the field of comics trivia! The contest is scheduled for Saturday, November 25, at 4:30 pm in Panel Room A.
"Feedback", the winner of this summer's Who Wants To Be a Superhero on the Sci-Fi Channel, and Matt Haley, artist and creative consultant for the show, along with quizmasters Bob Ingersoll and Joe Edkin, will host a super-showdown such as the world - or at least Mid-Ohio-Con - has never seen. Contestants, selected at random, will compete for prizes in their super-heroic identities with their only weapon being their knowledge of super-heroes in comics, movies, and other media. Contestants will be able to sign up for a chance to play the game at the World Famous Comics booth in Battelle Hall before the event and also at the very start of the event.
Winners of the elimination rounds will receive DVDs of the first season of Who Wants To Be a Superhero. The winner of the final round will receive an original Matt Haley drawing of his or her superhero self. Everything you ever thought you knew about super-heroes... is exactly what you'll need to emerge from this contest as Mid-Ohio-Con's Trivia Champion. Excelsior!
