KB Toys Offers Holiday Savings for Grandparents
Grandparents' Rewards Club Members Receive 10 Percent off Toy Purchases During Grandparents' Rewards Week November 27 through December 3
PITTSFIELD, Mass., Nov. 22, 2006 -- This holiday season, shopping for the grandkids couldn't be more rewarding. KB Toys, the nation's largest mall-based specialty toy retailer, is extending the benefits of its Grandparents' Rewards Club and will offer 10 percent off all toy purchases to both new and existing members from November 27 through December 3, 2006.
KB Toys launched the reward program nationwide in October 2006 giving grandparents and adults who are at least 50 years of age the ability to save 10 percent off their entire purchase at KB Toys every Tuesday, all year long. In the spirit of the holidays, KB Toys is extending the discount to apply every day during this "Grandparents Week" celebration.
Toy purchases made by grandparents comprise nearly 35-40 percent of KB Toys' holiday sales. "Grandparents shop more often and make larger purchases during the holiday season," said Ernie Speranza, Chief Marketing Officer for KB Toys. "Offering real savings during Grandparents Week is a great way to thank some of our most loyal customers."
Grandparents can sign up for the program by filling out a short application in KB Toys stores. Club members will receive a convenient KB Toys Grandparents' Rewards Club Card and keychain card, which they can present to receive 10 percent off toy purchases when shopping at KB Toys from November 27 through December 3, or on any Tuesday during the year. The discount is applied on the entire toy purchase and includes sale items, but does not include gift cards.
