MORRISVILLE, NC - July, 2007 - Ten years ago, a new, ground-breaking television series, under the helm of creative genius Joss Whedon, started the phenomena of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Through seven years of apocalypses, loves and losses, fans followed Buffy and the Scooby Gang as they made TV history.

The new 90-card premium base set from Inkworks features 18 pt. card stock and includes images from the series that have never before appeared on trading cards. Two of the new subsets in this release include: JOSS' NOTES, which are exclusive cards for each season from the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer himself, Joss Whedon and BUFFY "SEASON 8" CARDS which are eight cards featuring new Dark Horse Comics "Season 8" Buffy comic book storylines and their amazing cover art. Although there was not a Season 8 ever broadcast, Joss Whedon conceived and wrote this installment to be realized in publication from Dark Horse Comics.
