Stick or Treat: Get Stuck With Cash From Henkel Corporation This Halloween
AVON, Ohio -- August 17, 2007 -- Spooky ghouls and gruesome goblins could walk away from Halloween with more than candy from their trick or treat efforts by creating a unique, one-of-a-kind costume made out of America's favorite fix-all - duct tape!
Henkel Corporation, marketer of Duck® brand duct tape, challenges all trick-or-treaters to get creative and original with duct tape for a chance to win $500 by entering its annual "Stick or Treat" Halloween Costume Contest. Instead of wearing the typical store-bought costume, entrants can create or accessorize a costume out of duct tape and submit a photo to the company beginning September 3, 2007. The contest ends on October 29, 2007.
Accepted entries will be posted online at www.ducktapeclub.com, and first, second and third place winners will be selected around October 30, 2007. The first place winner will be awarded $500.
Last year, mother-daughter duo Rebecca and Kayla Cord, of Louisville, Ky., earned first place with an imaginative "Little Bo Peep and One Sheep" costume - complete with bonnet, staff, basket and one sheep (Cleo, the family cat). The sticky creation, made from 11 rolls of blue, white, steel blue, red and black duct tape, outdid 36 homemade ensembles from 23 states and Canada.
Duck® brand duct tape is available in 20 colors and patterns, so trick-or-treaters can pick their favorite color combinations and get creative with their accessories. And, with choices like Duck® brand Funky Flamingo® duct tape, and colors and patterns like camouflage, bright orange, black and chrome, the choices for costume creativity are endless.
