K'NEX: Sesame Street License

SESAME WORKSHOP AND K'NEX BRANDS ANNOUNCE NEW LICENSING PARTNERSHIP

Sesame Street-Themed Building Sets Will Allow Toddlers to Create Custom Versions of Favorite Sesame Characters

Hatfield, PA, August 2007 - Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street, and K'NEX®, an international leader in the construction toy industry and strong advocate of fostering the imagination and creativity of children, are delighted to announce a new licensing partnership to produce educational, Sesame Street®-themed building sets for toddlers.

"We are extremely excited to be partnering with Sesame Workshop, an organization that believes in and promotes so many of the principles and values on which we've founded our company," said Michael Araten, president of K'NEX Brands. "This new relationship provides a wonderful opportunity to work together toward our goals of helping children learn, grow, dream and discover."

The relationship, which names K'NEX Brands as the licensee for interlocking construction building sets both in North America and internationally, is a natural fit, combining K'NEX and Sesame Workshop's dedication to the growth and development of children with their commitment to enriching the lives of families.

"It's a pleasure to extend the reach of Sesame Street through a partnership with K'NEX," said Ann Kearns, Vice President Licensing at Sesame Workshop "Much like our beloved characters, K'NEX products are trusted and loved by parents and kids. They encourage children to innovate and imagine without limits, and to realize that learning can be a fun, rewarding experience - all things that we at Sesame Workshop strongly support."

The new building sets will be specially designed for children ages two years and older - the youngest audience yet for K'NEX - and will allow children to build their favorite Sesame Street characters, from Elmo and Cookie Monster, to Bert, Ernie, Oscar and Abby. Filled with colorful, custom K'NEX building parts, each set will also contain age appropriate educational content.

The new line will be available June 2008.
