October 2007 Hasbro GI Joe Q&A

October 2007 - Every other month, Hasbro will answer five questions about their GI Joe products. Here are the questions and answers for this month:

1. Will the 8" figures shown at JoeCon (Zanzibar, Joe Colton, Wreckage, Ironfist) be released as HasbroToyShop exclusives?

Answer: Right now there is no plan to release the "proto" figures shown at JoeCon...

2. Are the possible Mail-Aways of Billy and/or Dr Venom being considered/developed in the 80's style, or 25th Anniversary style?

Answer: Our plans for a fall 2008 mail away are still being determined. However, if we were to do a mail-away, it would most likely be in the 25th style.

3. Will the single carded Cobra Air Trooper be standard colors or comic pack colors?

Answer: The same colors as the 5 pack.

4. Is there any chance of licensing the GI Joe characters to Sideshow to do as 12-inch figures, as they have done with Star Wars?

Answer: Nothing to currently report, but anything is possible.

5. Is there ANY way to save the 8" figure line?

Answer: Unfortunately, the 8" scale will not continue in our mainline product in 2008. Thank you for the support!
