ElfQuest Action Figure Update
|
WARP Graphics has updated fans, via their official Elfquest website, on the status of the upcoming series of Elfquest action figures being produced by Living Toyz and designed by Art Asylum. According to WARP there is some bad news and some good news. The bad news is the release of the first assortment, which features Cutter, Nightrunner, Leetah, Rayek, Tyldak and Picknose, has been pushed back from December of this year to February of next year. The good news, however, more than compensates for any disappointment. Whereas the original plan called for Cutter and his wolf, Nightrunner, to be packaged individually, those figures will now ship together as a 2-pack. Of course, this left an open slot in the six figure assortment which will be filled with the villainous Madcoil! Also, the mass market has expressed considerable interest in the line (a testimony to the enduring charm of the Elfquest property), and fans can look forward to these figures being available at stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us among others. WARP Graphics, and Living Toyz, plans to have actual production pieces on display at Toy Fair 2001 in February along with the prototypes for Series 2. With an animated feature film in development, and a terrific line of toys coming down the pike, the future is looking bright for Elfquest fans. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. [Posted 11/13/2000]
