Thanksgiving weekend means more than turkey for the folks in the Columbus, Ohio-area. This past weekend, as in the years prior, the place to be for fans of pop culture was the Mid-Ohio-Con, and RTM was on the scene.

The long running convention experienced a change in venue this year, moving from the Adams Mark hotel in downtown Columbus to the brand spanking new Hilton at the Easton Town Center.

Some of the comic and entertainment industry's brightest stars were on hand including John Byrne, Stan Sakai, Sergio Aragones, Mark Waid, Yvonne Craig, June Lockhart and more. The convetion had plenty to offer fans, from panels with comic creators, a chance to meet and greet celebrities to such popular offerings as an anime room showing such cool anime features like Gundam 08th MS Team, Cardcaptor Sakura and Escaflowne.

This years show had less turnout from the toy world than previous shows. Last years attendees, ReSaurus and Flatt World, were not in attendence this year. However, the McFarlane Toys Toy Club was there selling their exclusive X-Files: Flukeman figure and Bag of Dragons. Cartoon Books was also present with both packaged and loose samples of their soon-to-be released Bone action figures.
