chet_stevecujpg.jpg - 10865 Bytes Raving Toy Maniac visited the McFarlane Toys booth, talking with Chet Jacques (left) and Steve Hamady (aka Steve the Victim) (right) about upcoming product from the revolutionary toymaker as they warm up for Toy Fair in February.

On display at the booth were 2-up prototypes for Edward Scissorhands, and The Fly from Movie Maniacs 3 as well as the follow-up assortment to this past summers Austin Powers figure line. Also shown were Alice Cooper, and a massive 18" Michael Myers figure that will be released around the same time as Movie Maniacs 3 (Oct 2000).

Be sure to check out the links at the bottom of the page to see the McFarlane Mid-Ohio-Con display!

Several items were on sale, including the McFarlane Toy Club exclusive Terry Fitzgerald figure, display cases and stands.

hansonbros.jpg - 14025 Bytes bob_dougmck.jpg - 12769 Bytes In 2000 McFarlane Toys will be paying homage to Todd McFarlane's Canadian heritage with two releases: Bob and Doug McKenzie (of SCTV, and Strange Brew fame) and The Hanson Brothers (from the '70's Paul Newman flick Slap Shot. No Mmm-Bop here!).

Spawn Series 16 is entitled Spawn Nitro and features Spawn and various other McFarlane oddities riding highly detailed motorcycles. Each figure will be fully poseable and removable from it's motorcycle. No figures were shown. Spawn 17 looks to be updated versions of some earlier characters in the Spawn line.

Shown for the first time was an upcoming figure in McFarlane's line of musician figures. This time the spotlight falls onto the original shock-rocker, Alice Cooper! The detail on this figure will absolutely blow you away (as well as possibly keep it out of Wal-Mart!)

aplogo.gif - 6764 Bytes January's Austin Powers series 2 assortment was also shown.

This assortment, sure to be even more popular than the first, includes Austin Powers (photographer, blue pin-stripe suit), Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley's character), a Fembot, Scott Evil (Seth Green), and a Dr. Evil/Mini Me in Spacesuits 2-pack.

There will also be a deluxe boxed set of Dr. Evil and Mini Me on the Evil Scooter!

McFarlane Toys is preparing a Metal Gear Solid exclusive for Electronics Boutique for release in February. This set features Solid Snake and Meryl Silverburg (same figures as previously released), but in a display case (like last years store exclusives) with a detailed backdrop straight out of the hit Playstation game.

Check out the following lines McFarlane Toys had on display:

Austin Powers Series 2 | Movie Maniacs Series 3 | Alice Cooper
