SDCC Star Wars News!
Lots of different Star Wars happenings were going on at SDCC this year in honor of the 20th anniversary, but very little new toy news was announced.
A couple of new figures were displayed, but most news is being held back until the Christmas season and Toy Fair 1998. Two items of note: the Cantina pop-up that was available through coupons randomly inserted with Spirit of Ben Kenobi mail-in figures will be available later in the year through Star Wars Insider magazine. And there will be no limit on the Internet B-Omarr Monk figure that will be solicited from Hasbro's Star Wars website in August. Also, some of the pack-in figures, like the ones that come with the At-At, might be available separately carded in the future.
The above pictured Cantina three-pack featuring Dr. Evazan, a reposed Ponda Baba, and a reposed Ben Kenobi should hit stores this Fall.
