Equity Marketing

Equity Marketing has big plans in store for it's Scooby Doo license. Series 2 and 3 of the 7 to 8 inch Scooby-Doo action figures are planned, with Series 2 slated for a November release and Series 3 scheduled for Spring 2001.

Look fot the line to start including villains from the popular cartoon (now airing on the Cartoon Network. Some of the villains planned include Tiki, with a removable Tiki mask and the Funland Robot, which will include an oversized magnet with which you can catch the robot (just like in the episode) and a funhouse mirror.

There is also a series of friction-powered race cars coming in September featuring Shaggy in his roadster, and Scooby in a race car.

Fans who like thier toys on a smaller scale should keep an eye open for the Mystery Machine playset which comes with 4.5" scale figures of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. Although Fred was planned to come with the set initially (and shown at Toy Fair, he will now show up in a later accessory pack along with a small vehicle that can fit in the back of the Mystery Machine

Equity also announced they will be doing 3 8-1/2" action figures based on Cartoon Network's latest anime hit, Tenchi Muyo.

Another popular line for Equity is Headliners. These little figures with the big heads keep expanding into new genres, from sports to movies to musical superstars, the line has a little something for everyone.

Headliners expands into Superposeables that marries the Headliner concept to bendable figures. Look for Star Trek, Horror , and Comedy - Three Stooges which are shipping now, to soon be followed up by Rocky Horror Picture Show, and later by football and baseball personalities.
