Playing Mantis
Playing Mantis and 3DO have teamed up to bring you the biggest little heroes to ever hit the game scene. Army Men action figures, based on the popular series of computer and console games, will debut in a store near you in November.
Each 7" action figure features 10 points of articulation, and includes weapons and accessories. Also included will be a "dog tag" styled display stand with an ID trading card.
The first wave of figures to hit the beach head will be: Team Leader, Sarge Hawk; Lovely Soldier, Vikki; Commander in Chief: Col. Grim; Mine Sweeper, Hoover; Bazooka Specialist, Riff and Tyrannical Tan Leader, Plastro.
For the first time ever, classic Jonny Quest will be available in action figure form. Based on the 1960s animated adventure series from Hanna-Barbera, Jonny Quest action figures are fully poseable, loaded with accessories and ready for adventure. The line includes Jonny Quest, the adventurous 11 year-old with a knack for getting himself (not to mention his friends and family) into trouble; his dad, Dr. Benton Quest, a globe-trotting scientist and special government agent; Jonny's best friend, Hadji, a young boy from India with mystical powers; Roger "Race" Bannon, Jonny's own personal bodyguard; and Bandit, his pet dog.
Look for Jonny Quest late this year, or early in 2001.
