Living Toyz had a variety of unique licensees at this years show including:
The Krofft Superstars, Elfquest, Shadow of the Vampire
(the new film starring John Malkovitch), and Rock Group Korn
Prototypes of the Krofft Superstars were seen last year at Toy
Fair 1999. This year we saw final production pieces. Classic
characters like H.R. Pufnstuf, Clingand Clang, Sigmund (from Sigmund and
the Sea Monsters) and Electra-Woman (who was portrayed by a young pre-Days
of Our Lives Diedre Hall) aught to be on shelves in April.
Richard and Wendy Pini's Elfquest was one of the first independent
comic books, paving the way for books like Spawn and Sin City. Now,
twenty years after it's inception - Cutter and the Wolfriders are to be
given their shot as action figures.
Shadow of the Vampire, the highly anticipated follow-up to Anne
Rice's Interview with a Vampire, is another entry into the quickly
growing horror toy genre.
And last, but certainly not least is the hard-hitting Korn!
From the cover of "Issues" comes the Korn rag-doll. |
