San Diego Comic Con International:
Dark Horse
The Dark Horse booth at Comic-Con was constantly busy, with several celebrity events, including Mike Mignola and Guillermo del Toro from Hellboy and Frank Miller (among others) for Sin City. We were able to take a short tour of the booth right before the insanely popular Sin City event.
The Quimby the Mouse toy is made of wood, something that you don't see a lot of these days outside of construction toys. Quimby will be packaged with a book.
The Hellboy Talking Board will come in two versions: one high-end version (around $100 USD) with a wood playing board and case, and a regular version (around $25) with a pressed-paper playing board and cardboard case.
Another interesting category that Dark Horse will be offering soon is license plates (not shown here), notably Betty Page license plates.
The Luis Royo statue was sculpted by Steve Kiwis and depicts a magazine cover that Royo painted for Heavy Metal magazine.
Dark Horse will also have a booth at the Wizard World Chicago convention, August 13 to 15, 2004.
