MONTREAL--Feb. 7, 2002-- CAILLOU� is set to charm Australian kids! CINAR and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) are pleased to announce that they have signed a major multi-rights agreement on CAILLOU. ABC has purchased the rights to 65 episodes of 5 minutes of the popular animated preschool series, for television in Australia and for release on home video in Australia and New Zealand. The first episodes will begin airing in July 2002 on ABC for KIDS.
Also, ABC Merchandising & Events has been named the exclusive licensing agent for CAILLOU in Australia. A complete line of CAILLOU toys and games will be introduced at the Australian Toy Fair in Melbourne in March 2002. Video, books, toys and a whole lot more are scheduled to hit retail in September 2002.
