MALIBU, Calif.--Feb. 7, 2002-- JAKKS Pacific, Inc. announced today highlights of the Company's featured items for International Toy Fair 2002 to be held in New York City February 10-14, 2002.
JAKKS' top product introductions include a vast assortment of art/activity kits and innovative new compounds based on Nickelodeon's full repertoire of properties, World Wrestling Federation action figures and accessories, Junkyard Wars and BattleBots robotic vehicles, Road Champs Gyros, Tiny Tots in Puppy Town(TM) and a new twist on bubbles JAKKS calls Liqualoons(TM). The JAKKS New York showroom at Toy Fair has never been this much fun.
"From compounds, activity toys, stationery products and writing instruments, to action figures, robots and dolls, creative play is the dominant theme for JAKKS' new product introductions at this year's Toy Fair," commented Michael Bianco, Executive Vice President, JAKKS Pacific. "Our products engage today's kids and represent the wealth of creativity and talent JAKKS has actively harnessed over the past few years."
Highlights of the 2002 JAKKS Pacific line-up:
- Flying Colors Gak Splat(TM) is a Nickelodeon-licensed soft and squishy aerodynamic ball that you just can't put down! Unlike regular balls, Gak Splat(TM) balls are made from soft, squishy material and have little round holes punctured straight through the ball, creating a whirling, whistling sound, as it whizzes through the air.
- Nickelodeon Compounds from Flying Colors -- Skweeez(TM), Mood Goooze, Scented Goooze, Metallic Goooze, Crystal Zyrofoam and Speckled Zyrofoam -- all in assorted colors. Have you seen it? Have you touched it? You've got to feel them!
- Dora the Explorer(TM) is taking her adventures to toy land with an entire line of activity, stationery, and back-to-school products inspired by Nick Jr.'s hit animated television program. Just like the show, kids can use the Dora the Explorer products to have their own play-along adventure at home.
- Smatter(TM): The foam of the new millennium, Smatter(TM), Fatter Smatter(TM) and Spit Smatter(TM) each come with a cool Nickelodeon controller, which shoots the foam far distances in one of three different colors. The game of tag will never be the same.
- JAKKS' World Wrestling Federation action figure lines feature several new introductions, including R3 technology, the world premiere of rising World Wrestling Federation superstars and Total Scan -- full-body Real Scan technology for the ultimate collector sets.
- Junkyard Wars and BattleBots give scrap metal a new name with extensive toy lines of vehicles, playsets and model kits for the two properties seen on TLC and Comedy Central, respectively.
- Tiny Tots in Puppy Town(TM), a 4" fashion doll and puppy line which touches upon the top three play patterns among little girls -- nurturing, fashion play and role-play. Both doll and puppy have magnetic mechanisms that allow little girls and puppies to interact and play games.
- Liqualoons(TM), an exciting and innovative new bubble, balloon-activity solution with a breakthrough formula that allows the bubbles to last longer and stick together to create amazing build-able bubbles that kids can actually hold in their hands!
