K'NEX Radio-Control Building Set

KNEX INTRODUCES BURNOUT ITS INNOVATIVE RADIO-CONTROL BUILDING SET

New Replica of Three-foot, Top Fuel Dragster Pulls Away from the Competition at American International Toy Fair 2002

New York, NY - February 7, 2002 - K'NEX Industries, one of the world's leading construction toy manufacturers, announced today that it will debut its highly-anticipated top fuel dragster replica-- Burnout, the Radio-Control Building Set--during Toy Fair 2002, to be held Thursday, February 7, through Thursday, February 14 in New York City. This innovative addition to K'NEX's Cool Machines line combines the best of building play with after-build excitement; it will be available at retail in June 2002.

K'NEX's awesome new radio-control building set, Burnout, enables kids to build a three-foot, "in-your-face" replica of a real top fuel dragster. In addition to the fun of building the chassis from K'NEX building pieces, the Burnout, the Radio-Control Building Set, features a special "drive box" which is pre-assembled and houses both the dragster's radio-control receiver and sound speaker--making this K'NEX model a quicker build. Once this bold new model is complete, kids can add sleek graphics to enhance this three- foot monster's aggressive stance. Pressing the staging button on the remote control will inch Burnout up to the starting line as its engine revs up and down in eager anticipation. Pushing the remote's lever forward will blast the Burnout dragster off the starting line as its giant rear wheels peel out, accompanied by the sounds of real screeching tires.

"This innovative new set will not only enable kids to design real race cars," said Chris Campbell, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for K'NEX, "but also they will race their cars just like professional drivers. K'NEX new Burnout dragster puts kids in the driver's seat as race car designers, builders, and drivers."

Putting kids in complete control and boasting builds that are larger than most competitive sets, K'NEX Burnout dragster is yet another example of K'NEX's commitment to provide engaging building play coupled with after-build excitement. Kids are in complete control of their Burnout dragster's performance; they direct its movement--forward, reverse, left and right. The K'NEX Burnout dragster is available in two radio frequencies (27 or 49 MHz), so drivers can race their friends. As with all its construction sets, K'NEX's innovative Burnout, the Radio-Control

Building Set offers alternate builds--instructions for three different vehicle designs as well as seven additional building ideas, for indoor or outdoor play, are included.

K'NEX new Burnout, the Radio-Control Building Set, includes 246 rod and connector pieces, a radio-control drive box with giant dragster tires, front steering assembly, remote control, and graphic panels. Also included are step-by-step instructions to build three different vehicles as well as seven additional building ideas. Requires one 9 Volt and 8 AA batteries (or 9.6 Volt Battery).
