Hasbro: Morphits
TIGER'S NEW MORPHITS LINE ALLOW KIDS TO CREATE AN ARRAY OF DIGITAL CREATURES
Imagine being able to change digital creatures into more than a hundred forms -- right in the palm of your hand. MORPHITS creatures, made by Hasbro's Tiger Electronics brand, make it all possible. The ball-shaped MORPHITS case houses digital creatures that "evolve" based on environment and stimuli. Depending upon the kind of stimuli it receives, the character will "grow" certain characteristics. For example, if you leave the character in the dark for a long period of time it may have big eyes when you next look at it! Kids will have hours of fun watching their MORPHITS characters change before their own eyes and do battle with enemy creatures.
MORPHITS: These digital creatures, featuring speech and sound effects, start off as simple characters, which will then "evolve" based upon the amount of touch, light, and motion you give them. Each new creature is displayed on the MORPHITS ball's LCD screen. Watch out for surprise "attacks" from enemy creatures -- they could occur at any time. If defeated, your creature will go back three "evolutions." However, if it wins, it will evolve three stages at once. MORPHITS includes date and time function (so you will know how long it has taken for your pet to evolve certain characteristics) in its ball-shaped case. (Availability: Summer 2003; Approximate Retail Price: $14.99)
