Hasbro: Disney Pixar Toy Story Adventures
DISNEY/PIXAR TOY STORY ADVENTURES CONTINUE WITH WITH HASBRO'S 2003 TOY STORY AND BEYOND LINE
Woody, Buzz and the whole beloved gang of Disney/Pixar's TOY STORY characters come to life again in 2003 with Hasbro's new line of action figures, play sets and candy. Kids will find all their favorite friends from Andy's room, all featuring new adventure themes including the "Lost Episodes."
Continuing the magic of TOY STORY and Beyond in 2003, are the following new Hasbro items:
ELECTRONIC GALACTIC DEFENDER BUZZ LIGHTYEAR AND TALKIN' WILD WEST ADVENTURER WOODY (Approximate retail price: $19.99) Woody really knew what he was talking about when he said to Buzz; "you're a really cool toy"! Kids everywhere seem to agree and Hasbro gives kids a whole new cool version of TOY STORY'S beloved space ranger. With an all-new look and a new projectile-launching attack pack, the 12-inch BUZZ LIGHTYEAR keeps things safe with his star command standard issue arm-mounted laser rifle, targeting visor and a variety of new phrases when kids press the buttons on his space ranger uniform. But where would Buzz be without his good old buddy, Woody? With his own new mission backpack, the 12-inch WOODY (sold separately) can store his walkie-talkie and Disney's LENNY, his special spy binoculars to hunt down the evil Zurg. WOODY also features all new phrases to go along with the mission theme. They are available beginning in September. Recommended for ages four and up.
ADVENTURE PACKS (Approximate retail price: $7.99) The adventures in Andy's room take on a whole new scale with chunkier "heroic" sized action figures, for a complete world of TOY STORY play with figures that stand easily and are great for little hands. Three different TOY STORY ADVENTURE PACK scenes will be available for action in August, and each set comes with figures and accessories needed to make these exciting adventures complete: In the PIZZA PLANET RESCUE pack, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR attempts one of his most dangerous missions ever -- rescuing the LITTLE GREEN MEN trapped in the grip of the Pizza Planet arcade game claw. Equipped with his trusty backpack, Buzz takes to the air and swoops down to save his intergalactic friends from the menacing claw! In the TARGET PRACTICE pack, the evil EMPEROR ZURG has a particularly nasty idea -- to use his ZURGBOTS for target practice. Armed and dangerous, Zurg aims and fires, then escapes in his chariot. Finally, the day ends with the RACE TO THE BED. WOODY and RC try to outrun REX on his skateboard! Who will get to Andy's bed first? Disney/Pixar's WHEEZY waits by the bed with his flag to declare the winner! Recommended for ages four and up.
BASIC ACTION FIGURES (Approximate retail price: $9.99) Three new basic figure sets will join the gang: TORNADO BUZZ LIGHTYEAR and MONKEYS, WHIP ATTACK WOODY and ROCKY with ALIENS. Also back by popular demand are these figure sets: CHECKER THROWIN' BUZZ, NERF BLASTIN' ZURG and WOODY with SQUIRTIN' SHARKY. Recommended for ages four and up, these basic figures are available starting in February.
