Mattel: Ello
The Ello Creation System from Mattel both is and is not a construction toy: while the pieces do fit together to build play environments, they can also be used to make crafts such as picture frames or necklaces. Ello is designed around the play patterns of girls.
The four main Ello sets for 2003 are:
- Ello-opolis (201 pieces, available December 2002, suggested retail $19.99 USD)
- Ello Aquaria (168 pieces, available December 2002, suggested retail $19.99)
- Ello Fairytopia (available June 2003, suggested retail $19.99)
- Ello Jungala (300+ pieces, available October 2003, suggested retail $34.99)
