Toy Biz: Spidey & Friends
The pre-school series of Spider-Man and Friends had a much larger display area in 2003. These figures are six inches tall and are designed to be easy to stand, so that children can have an easier time playing with them. The regular figures have a suggested retail price of $7.99 USD.
Series 3 and 4 are due out in stores by April 2003:
- Hang Glider Spider-Man with pop-out wings
- Spider-Girl with motorized skating action
- Beach Patrol Hulk with life preserver launcher
- Water Webs Spider-Man with water shooting action
- Robot Spider-Man with pop-out wing jetpack
- Crime Fighter Wolverine with claw grabbing action
Series 5 is also due out by April 2003:
- Water Rafting Spider-Man with floating raft
- Laser Blast Cyclops with light-up visor
- Web Trap Spider-Man with web net launcher
Series 6 is due out by July 2003:
- Snowboarding Spider-Man with snowball shooter
- Air Patrol Spider-Man with propeller spinning action
- Rapid-Fire Wolverine with disk launching action
The Spider-Man Web Cycle Racer (with realistic engine sounds), the Captain America Rescue Cycle (with realistic emergency siren sounds), and the Wolverine Cycle should be out in stores by April 2003, joining the Spider-Man Wave Rider and Spider-Girl Wave Riders. Suggested retail is $14.99 each.
The Hulk Tow Truck (with snowplow and real working tow crane, features pull back and go action) and the Splash N' Swim Spider-Man (with Kick 'N Splash floating action) are due out in July 2003, also with a suggested retail of $14.99 each.
In addition to the action figures and vehicles, there will also be two plush toys in this line: Spider-Man and the Hulk. Both are due out in July 2003, with a suggested price of $16.99 each. The Hulk has "electronic roaring" sounds while Spider-Man has 15 phrases and eyes that light up when he is hugged.
