I had no intention of doing a Batman wave -- I just happened to want to do a lot of figures that were Batman-related, and when it came time for me to start grouping them together, this one made sense. In fact, a lot of these were intended originally for tomorrow's wave, but that one was getting a little too big, so I scaled it back and created this category. Azrael, Bane, and Freeze all borrow heavily from other incarnations of various figures. But I wanted an Azrael who looked out, not down, a Bane that had bulk, and a Freeze that had a different flavor of color scheme (and he was originally a Super Powers figure... just in a completely different version than this one). Silver and blue Batman is always a fun figure, although he seems a little too retro for this wave, and Robin needed to be in the bunch, especially after his role in Public Enemies. Joker was one of the most challenging figures I've ever made, but I'm pleased with the results. Hope you are, too.
