February 2008 - Madame Alexander and ABC/ABC STUDIOS are pleased to introduce a line of Ugly Betty™ dolls based on the Emmy Award-winning television show. The miniature recreations of Betty Suarez, the lovable personal assistant to MODE magazine's editor-in-chief, are dressed in one of the most well-known outfits seen on the show. Capturing all the charm of her character, the Ugly Betty™ dolls show that being smart, hardworking and savvy has never been more beautiful. Marking its 85th anniversary this year, Madame Alexander, known for tradition, elegance and innovation, adds Ugly Betty to its extensive collection of dolls that are current with trends in fashion and pop culture.

18" Cloth Ugly Betty™ has brown yarn hair with bangs, brown eyes, glasses and braces on her teeth. Dressed for her first day at MODE, Ugly Betty wears a yellow silk blouse with brown polka dots, a red jacket and brown skirt along with black tights and brown shoes. Ugly Betty is also wearing her "trendy" red with blue fringe 'Guadalajara' poncho.
The vinyl 8" Ugly Betty™ is an exact replica of her 18" counterpart. She has brown hair, brown eyes, glasses and braces stenciled on her teeth. This Ugly Betty, a fully articulated Maggie with Latin skin, wears a yellow blouse with brown polka dots, a red jacket, a knee length brown skirt, black tights and brown shoes. Wearing her "trendy" red with blue fringe 'Guadalajara' poncho, Ugly Betty is ready for her first day of work.
