THE BEAR BUCKETS CLUB DONATES 2,000 NEW TOYS TO THE RELIEF EFFORTS IN HAITI THROUGH AMERICARES.
Stormville, N.Y. January 26th, 2010 - The Bear Buckets Club Inc. announced today that the company will donate 2,000 of their recently released "Bear Buckets Club Friends" to the relief efforts in Haiti. The Island was struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010.
"Being a small company, we needed to help out in some way," stated Douglas Robertson, President of The Bear Buckets Club. "Ironically, when we approached AmeriCares with our offer, they believed that the toy's reusable packaging with its 4-way locking system could be used for multiple purposes in Haiti for the safekeeping of medical supplies, food, personal items and such."
The Bear Buckets Club toys normally are made up of one of six individual plush characters and an educational/interactive CD which is enclosed in a reusable home. The products are designed for children between the ages of 4 through 10. The 2,000 toys being donated have a retail value of $20,000.00.
AmeriCares is a nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization which provides immediate response to emergency medical needs - and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programs - for all people around the world, irrespective of race, creed or political persuasion.
