July 2010 - SDCC 2010 is here and there are lots of Toy2R goodies to look out for while at the convention. Here is a breakdown of what you will find and more importantly, where!
The Skelanimals x Qee Artist Series debuts at SDCC. First item on your checklist, the Glow-in-the-Dark Chungkee Qee Pre-Launch figure available exclusively at Fugitive Toys booth #334. Limited quantities available, so get there quick!
In related Skelanimals news, the prototype samples from the upcoming Artist Series Collection will be on display for the first time so collectors can get a first hand look at this great series dropping next month. With designs from Jim Koch, Lunabee, Julie West, Chauskoskis, Voltaire, Reactor 88, Frank Mysterio and Jon-Paul Kaiser. Being Dead just became an art form! Check out the Skelanimals booth #4513 and head over to booth #3229 for a massive Skelanimals display including the Qees!!
David Horvath's newest friend of Bossy Bear makes a rare appearance at SDCC courtesy of Toy Tokyo. Head over to booth #5437 to pick up the new 5" Roller the Reindeer figure and complete your Bossy Bear & Friends collection.
DOMO makes a big splash at the Dark Horse booth during SDCC. Head over to check out the new 7 inch DOMO Qees slated for release starting in October. After two successful 3" assortments, DOMO grows up and becomes a big collectible!
Also announced, Dark Horse will be offering the exclusive SDCC Hawaiian Domo Qee at their booth during the con. Perfect for sunny San Diego!
And this just in, if you're waiting for the 2.5" Designer Collection Series 6 to drop, check this out. Fugitive Toys (booth #334) and Toy Tokyo (booth #5437) are both planning to have Series 6 blind boxes available for purchase during SDCC. Run over to one of these great companies to pick up yours, you never know � you just might pull the one you're looking for.
With designs from Jon Paul Kaiser, Frank Kozik, Daniel Jarrett, DrilOne, Lisa Petrucci, Cameron Tiede, Doink, Charlie Mewshaw, Peskimo, DGPH and Qee creator Raymond Choy � you shouldn't miss this re-launch of the artist series that started it all! And who knows - you might be able to get yours signed by the artist, if you're lucky!
And... from the rumor mill, DrilOne just announced that he will be at Dragatomi's booth #3848 on Saturday for signing, but he will also have 20 pieces of his Military Toyer Qee from Series 6 available while supplies last. That means you had better be in line quick to snap up one of these signed gems!
