Hasbro Inc.'s Tiger Electronics will be introducing a line of interactive pets and characters at the upcoming International Toy Fair in New York City. Poo-Chi the Interactive Puppy will be the first mass market dog to hit retail this year, coming to shelves in May, approximate retail: $30.00. Poo-Chi barks, sings, has an animated head, ears and mouth and can stand, sit or dance on his tiptoes! Poo-Chi can sense light, sound and your special touch! Poo-Chi needs food just like a real puppy, so don't forget to feed him his special bone! Because he's just so lifelike, Poo-Chi needs love. The more you care for Poo-Chi, the happier he will be. Poo-Chi uses advanced bio-rhythmic technology to create realistic emotional responses that adapt and change as you play with him. His big expressive eyes will melt your heart whether he's telling you he's happy, sad, or just that he loves you. Poo-Chi will be able to interact with other Poo-Chi puppies, too. Poo-Chi will be available in a variety of colors. Tiger Electronics and Sega have co-produced Poo-Chi. Tiger will distribute around the world, except Japan. ``Poo-Chi will be the pet that all kids will be asking for,'' says Roger Shiffman, president of Tiger Electronics. [Updated 1-24-2000]
